saturday, May 31: 10 am to 12:30 pm pacific time. via zoom.

About this event

Whether we are concerned about or even directly impacted by ongoing climate crises, or by political turmoil and rising authoritarianism across the globe; and even if we may be part of groups that are currently targeted for harm or discriminated against …

*How can we find peace of mind amidst the chaos?

*How can we discover a way to be in service or to find relative safety from a place of calm?

*How can we find hope and courage in apparent darkness?

*How do we consider our role or responsibility now and subsequent actions?

In this 2 and 1/2 hour seminar (with a break) longtime Three Principles educator, activist and author, Ami Chen Mills ("The Spark Inside," "State of Mind in the Classroom") will lead a deep dive with participants into our innate resilience and core well-being, even in the midst of the political chaos we experience now.

No feelings are off limits in this webinar. Times are very tough and we are all human. Participants are welcome to share their concerns and feelings ... and, expect to be reminded that wisdom remains alive within us, a source of peace and right action in any circumstance.

BIO

Ami Chen Mills was and has been “around” a Three Principles understanding and Mr. Sydney Banks since the age of 10. In the 1990s, she began working for the Santa Clara County health and human services department, teaching the Principles across a wide range of populations, from adult inmates to youth in juvenile detention to county employees, educators and more.

She co-founded the non-profit, Center for Sustainable Change, with her father, the late Dr. Roger Mills, and continued 3P work in mostly distressed communities across the United States for over a decade. Most recently, she has been hired as a lecturer at the University of California at Santa Cruz, teaching innate resilience.

Ami is also a tireless volunteer and activist for climate, for democracy, for human rights and for social justice, a broadcast and print journalist and essayist. She is currently writing a book on “deep resilience” in these times and the marriage of spirituality to positive engagement in this world of form.
