DEEP RESILIENCE

This one day seminar with Ami will offer an exploration of the following questions and will be open to further questions with interaction and discussion. All are welcome:

  • In a world that feels increasingly unstable, how can we find peace of mind amidst the chaos?

  • How can we discover a way to be in service or, if we must, find relative safety from a place of calm?

  • How can we find hope and courage in apparent darkness?

  • How do we consider our role or responsibilities and subsequent actions?

  • The role of states of mind and “levels” of reality.

  • The power and wisdom of deep presence

  • How do the Principles of Mind, Consciousness and Thought relate to how we see the world, take in news and respond or not respond?

Longtime Three Principles educator, activist and author, Ami Chen Mills ("The Spark Inside,” "State of Mind in the Classroom") will lead a deep dive with participants into our innate resilience and core well-being, even in the midst of the global uncertainty we experience now.

No feelings are off limits in this webinar. Times are tough and we are all human. Participants are welcome to share their concerns and feelings ... and, expect to be reminded that wisdom remains alive within us, a source of peace and right action in any circumstance.

Ami is a 30-year student and teacher of the Three Principles, and participants are welcome to come with their questions about those principles, exploring identity, innate wisdom and our core Beingness. These can be related to our current global contexts, or not.

BIO

Ami Chen Mills was and has been “around” a Three Principles understanding, and Mr. Sydney Banks, since the age of 10, when her father, Dr. Roger Mills first met Mr. Banks on Salt Spring Island. In the 1990s, she began working for the Santa Clara County health and human services department, teaching the Principles across a wide range of populations, from adult inmates to youth in juvenile detention to county employees, educators and more. She also became a trainer of trainers.

In 2004, Ami co-founded the nonprofit charity Center for Sustainable Change with her father, the late Dr. Roger Mills, and continued 3P work in mostly distressed and low-income communities across the United States for over a decade. She now runs her own private practice. Most recently, she has been hired as a lecturer at the University of California at Santa Cruz, teaching innate resilience and wellbeing. She is the author of The Spark Inside: A Special Book for Youth and State of Mind in the Classroom: Thought, Consciousness and the Essential Curriculum for Healthy Learning.

Ami is also a tireless volunteer and activist for climate, for democracy, for human rights and for racial healing, a broadcast and print journalist and essayist. She is currently writing a book on deep resilience in these times and the marriage of spirituality to positive engagement in this world of form. Ami has not been in Europe since 2019, so this is an excellent opportunity to connect and hear her speak in person.

Please take this special opportunity to connect in person and find ourselves inspired within the heart of love and in the face of everything.
